I love it when the clocks go forward, ok we lose an hour of sleep but the evenings’ are getting lighter and hopefully the warmer weather isn’t far behind. With Easter this weekend I thought I would share my top 10 fun activities for all the family in Gloucestershire this bank holiday.
Giant Duck Hunt at WWT Slimbridge (Saturday 28th March- Sunday 12th April 2015) A group of giant ducks have landed at Slimbridge this Easter Holidays, and challenge you and your family to spot them all in return for yummy treats!
Easter Challenge family event at Westonbirt (Monday 30th March – Friday 3rd April) Discover Westonbirt’s awakening trees and some of the newest additions to the collection. As you explore the arboretum see if you can solve the Easter riddle to claim your sweet reward!
Easter Sunday at Sudeley Castle (Sunday 5th April 2015). Hunt for the golden eggs that are hidden around the new ‘Lost in the Willows’ living Maze on Easter Sunday.
Bath Road Market Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday 4th April) Pop along to the market for Alice in Wonderland themed stalls and then join in the Bath Road Easter Egg hunt, looking for clues in the shops along the road for a prize.
Eggciting Easter at Birdland (Saturday 28th March – Sunday 12th April 2015) Meet the newest chicks to hatch at Birdland over the Easter bank holiday and learn about the captive breeding programmes as well as meeting the first emu chick to hatch at the park.
Easter Competition at Inside Out (Monday 23rd March – Saturday 4th April 2015) Guess the number of bunnies in our Easter window display for a prize, pop in store for an entry form.
Art Maze at Beechwood Shopping Centre (Wednesday 1st April – Thursday 16th April 2015) Art Playground will install a full-size maze of art in one of the Beechwood Shopping Centre’s units, showcasing emerging talent and professional work.
Easter holiday Sports and play across Cheltenham (Monday 30th March – Friday 10th April 2015) A fortnight of play, sports, day trips and fun activities await children across Cheltenham during the Easter holidays 2015. Click here for more information.
Mini Farm at The Brewery in Cheltenham (Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 April 2015). Meet goats, chicks, rabbits and many more farmyard animals when St James City Farm brings its mini spring farm to The Brewery.
Antiques & Vintage Fair at Taurus Crafts (Easter Sunday 5 April 2015). Pick up a bargain while browsing the stalls with antiques, vintage, memorabilia and collectables.
